    Hi,
I have Atrial Fib. Just got through an episode. I'm on amiodarone, which
is a very bad medication I know.
I keep reading that dark chocolate is so good for the heart. Will it have
any effect on my Afib? Is there enough caffeine in it for me to stop any
chocolates if it's in moderation. I gave up coffee and tea.(caffeinated)
I use to eat some chocolate and seems my episodes were about one year apart.
Now that I've quit, they are closer together, so doesn't look like it hurt
me. I'm perfect weight and health other wise....
Thanks for any of your answers ......Nel

No doubt from the chocolate industry :)

It may increase the frequency of it.

No caffeine but rather something equivalent.

The forums are Free and you can get a ton of information from the
forums. He sells some books at different prices if you want more
in-depth information. Say hello to your Cardio Doc and it will cost
you alot more than $32 :)

Thank you Dr. Andrews for your reply. Guess it's be white chocolate for me
    :-(

It is a good group with Hans. I did the clinical trails as part of the
    test he's been running.
The group has lot of ideas, but seems everyone is different.
    Thanks all ...Nel

Thanks so much for the information

    I see what you mean.
Luckily, I live in a country where any specialist visit (even in
private Clinics since the great majority of them are "conventioned"
with the public medicare) costs few euros to the patient. And it costs
nothing to patients over 65 yo with yearly income under 35 Keuro, or
to patients with certain chronic pathologies (including cardiac
    pathologies).

    Best regards (from Italy)

I know what you mean about the cost of Doctors. Thank heavens for Blue
Cross as I've been in the hospital with this afib two times in the last 4
years, and I can just image what that would cost..plus my medication I take
    everyday.
By the way, the afibbers is free.....Nel

    good to know.
However, navigatin in www.afibbers.org, I noticed that the LAF Forum
and several other documents I got across are updated to the year 2000.
Is that true, or is there something wrong with my navigation?
I strongly wish the latter ...

The Forum is day to day. Do you have your We Browser set correctly to

Anyway, I think all national healthcare systems cost a lot, directly
or indirectly. What is most important is their price/performance
    ratio.

now let me see, certainly I got it all wrong, this me explain what I'm
    doing:

first of all, I want browse the others' messages.
To do that, I connect to www.afibbers.org page and there click "LAF
    Forum" in the left panel.
In the afforum page, after a few introductory sections I get to the
    forum body.
Well, that body is entitled "UPDATED TO AUGUST 24, 2000"!

    What do I do wrong?

    Thanks for yr assistance
