Hi.
I've just been diagnosed with AF last week and am on warfarin (44 years
old). Have to have more tests in a few weeks. I assume when my INF is
stable.
The heart specialist was a bit vague in regards to what physical
activities i can do a nurse told me I shouldn't anything that increases my
heart rate due to the risk of a blood clot coming loose is this a real risk?
I have cold feet, weakness in my legs blurred vision right eye only,
breathless more than usual, tiredness.
Also have been diagnosed with sleep apnoea a few years ago and am on CPAP.
Also have mild asthma.

Thanks for your help.

The nurse is full of bull. I have A fib and do 5-7 hours of Cardio a
week at 70-80% of my max heart rate, and my Cardiologist thinks that
is great!

For much info on A-Fib, go to www.afibbers.com and visit the
bulletin board.

Not on coumadin.

Sounds like your heart rate may not be controlled.

I am 71 years old, had heart attack 13 years ago. Now I have AF. Same
symptoms like Ian. I used to biycle, badminton, soccer, golf. After 10
situps at my cardiologist office my heart rate went up 200. echocardio and
holter monitor done. Now I am waiting for Electrocardioversion, this week. I
really miss excercise.Scared. Depression creeps on me.
I am on Wafarin 4mg, Cardizem 300mg, Zoccor 10 mg, Lanoxin 0.25 mg/day.

Since it sounds like you are still in the process of having a complete
diagnosis and settling in on an effective treatment regime, I'd suggest
following your medical professionals' advice. They're the ones who are
familiar with the details of your particular case.

On you have been stabilized on a course of treatment (it can take a few
weeks to arrive at the proper coumidin dosage) you should have few
limitations on physical activity.
