Australian Team

If they can get the team up and running, they would be dreaming that Rogers would ride. He has a legitimate chance of winning the tour de france one day and he won't play second fiddle to Evans. I know I wouldn't regardless if it was an Australian team.

It would be a great enrichment for pro cycling if an Australian team would start at the major races. I would support it.

I thought Fosters was going sponsor an international Aussie cycling team.

Think of it, you could have Stella Artois on jesey while in Belgium, Corona while in Mexico, Asahi while in Japan and Beringer while in US.:D

Seriously, I thought I heard something about Fosters and cycling around the first of the year.

take the roamfree.com pledge above and add in QANTAS and you have a perfect match

QANATS / Roamfree.com, or Roamfree / BHPB. as for the dilema about a pro tour spot, there are bound to be more issues with sponsors pulling out and licenses up for grabs that could be bought. Even if thats not the case, if an aussie team were established that had evans or rogers, ogrady, mc ewen, cooke, etc etc i dont think it would be hard to get a wild card entry into almost every race of the season, especially the GT's, especially if you add in a couple of french:confused: or spanish climbers (maybe even a columbian) for mountain support.

I'm afraid to ask...but what's a yaggabomb??

After Discovery pulled out, it was clear that Slipstream would become a wildcard for the Tour and many other races. ASO needs the US market. They will be keen to get a piece of the pie on the Australian market as well.

Sounds like it's all gaining momentum, hope it all goes ahead
