The UCT/ MRC Research Unit for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine will be conducting a study to investigate the use of a sub-maximal cycle test and the DALDA questionnaire to monitor changes in training load in a group of well-trained cyclists.

[SIZE=16.0pt]INCLUDES FOUR FREE VO2 MAX TESTS AND A FREE PERSONALISED TRAINING PROGRAM[/SIZE]


[SIZE=12.0pt]What type of subjects are we looking for?[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE= 11pt]15 injury free and healthy male cyclists between age 18 and 45[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE= 11pt]Cyclists who are in the possession of functioning heart rate monitors[/SIZE]


[SIZE=12.0pt]What will be required of you?[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE= 11pt]Four VO[/SIZE]2[SIZE= 11pt] max tests and four 40 km TT[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE=11pt]Keeping a daily log of all your training and complete an online questionnaire daily[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE= 11pt]Sleeping 4 nights a week with a heart rate monitor on in order to measure heart rate variability[/SIZE]
  • [SIZE= 11pt]Follow a strict training program for 10 weeks[/SIZE]
