Maybe, and don't know. My Dr. wanted to put me on Actos,
and I refused for the time being because I know it can
cause weight gain, and specifically fluid retention. I've
battled fluid retention for several years and finally got
it under control. So having that problem again was the last
thing I wanted! Also, one or possibly both of them are
linked to congestive heart failure. Since I was told at one
point that I have a heart problem, I am leery to try
    anything like that.

Question too broad, information too narrow.

It all boils down to "does it work for you, and are the side
effects tolerable. To the O.P.: If you go to
www.<drugname>.com you will find all the "offiical"
prescribing information about the drug(s) in question. From
then on it's a matter of trying out whichever one you and
your doc think will work for you.

    Speaking only for myself,

    Joe Durusau

BTW, actos works OK for me, but I would not suggest that you
take anything without thinking it through, anbd watching
yourself with great care, especially at first.
