I have an Avenir Cycle computer that was on a bike I bought and it did not work, so I changed the battery, and tried to see if the screen would show anything and it does not. I can't seem to get this one to work. Does this computer actually have to have a signal from the wheel to even show anything on the screen? I do not have a model number to give you. The best way to describe this is it looks like an egg with the top edge cut off with tow black rounded black triangle shaped buttons on the bottom. The whole thing is silver on the face with the black trimmed LED window and the words AVENIR in black just above the two buttons. Any help would be appreciated.
