Hello, I recently decided to make use of the disc tabs on my '98 Marzocchi Z2 Bomber. It has what I
thought was an IS disc tab on the left leg, but alas the holes are just a tad bit closer together
than the IS disc mount, I measure 48mm center to center. The bolt holes are also a smaller diameter
and not threaded. So now I'm scrambling to find a fix for this issue. I found this adapter:
http://www.bikeman.com/catalog/brakes/adapterhayesbr3859.htm Which I'm hoping will mate up with the
weird tabs on my fork, the Avid Mechanical disc that I have has a 6"(160mm)rotor though, and that
adapter seems to require I move to an 8"(203mm) rotor.

My questions are:
1.) Has anyone successfully mounted a disc to this vintage of fork?
2.) Are the avid calipers the same for 6" and 8" rotors?
3.) If the adapter moves the caliper out to the proper 8" distance is there any reason it
shouldn't work?
4.) Do I need to order an Avid replacement 8" rotor, or can I use a hayes or hope 8"rotor(more
available on ebay)?

Thanks, -sonic
