I have a pair of shimano ax cranks with the large pedal hole, in good
condition, and am thinking of using them for a winter bike. I don't
want to use the big pedals. So, is it better to spring for the adpators
at Loose Screws

for $34US, or buy some used conventional cranks. Could the large crank
and adaptor combined be more resistant to breaking, making it worth the
hasssle? Any thoughts? Thx
