Hi all,
What is stronger a solid axle or a quick release axle? I was always under the impression that a tube (quick release axle) is stronger than a rod (solid axle).
Thank you very much

When an axle is stressed it is tensioned on one side and compressed on
the opposite side. Not as much stress near the center so a hollow
axle can still be strong. Due to the poor quality of materials used
in some cheap solid axle sets the more expensive hollow axle sets are
probably stronger.
