Welcome back Linda! Wow, what a transformation you have made
- amazing what a difference a year can make ... and I love
the new glasses!!! Don't sweat whatever results come your
way from those indulgences. Vacations don't happen every
day, and I think we're supposed to enjoy them when they
finally do roll around. <g> I'd also be willing to bet that
it really felt good to get back to those now normal eating
routines upon your return home.
K, now I want to pick your brain a bit. <g> I was reading
through the website you posted, never realized you were an
editor ... guess I never really thought much about it
before. <g> Anyway ... my *baby* is beginning to look into
colleges and is hoping to head into the journalism field.
There are 2 colleges she has been told that had great
programs, but I know she would love to have more options to
look into. Any suggestions??? On an up note for her, she
received her ACT scores in the mail today and broke down in
tears (honestly). All these years she has been pushed aside
at school, and written off as an airhead by many - and she
came through the testing beautifully (she swore she wouldn't
come close to passing). Now she is in a quandry as to if she
should take the test again - is upset that she missed a
perfect score in English by 1 point. <sigh> That dang
perfectionist in her!!! LOL

Prairie Roots said:Got back from my vacation late yesterday afternoon. Didn't
get around to checking the newsgroup till tonight. With
1142 messages to download, I'm not sure where to start.
While on vacation, I became reacquainted with my inner-
overeater. Despite all my progress, I haven't been able to
eliminate her. She was there, ready to resume her out-of-
control eating habits at the first sign of laxness. I'm
going to write off the two weigh-ins I missed and work real
hard over the next couple of days to minimize this week's
inevitable gain. The hidden NSV is that despite the
indulgences of the past 12 days, I jumped right back into
my normal eating routines today without a second thought.
Now if I can just find my way back to exercising...
If you're interested, I've posted a couple of pictures of
me, one from a year ago after losing 23 lbs and one from a
couple of weeks ago after losing 86 lbs. Here's the link:
