Baggy mounain bike shorts?

Anyone had experience with these type of mountain bike shorts? Seems like they would get caught on tree limbs and such more than regular lycra?

They're fine for casual MTB riding, I wouldn't use them for serious stuff though.

Thanks for asking this question. I was wondering the same thing, but more from an off-road touring perspective. I did my last tour in bibs and would do the same again, but I like the idea of wearing baggies over the top for the days heading into town. They also act as good camp pants.

I am considering Ground Effect gear as it has a pretty good wrap around here.
