Bar tape required in USCF race?

    I am planning on doing a USCF race in a couple of weeks, and I don't have bar tape on my bike. I have been fiddling with the bar position and I plan to replace all the cables real soon, so I was wondering if it is required to have bar tape? I do have some electric tape holding the cables, so I see no danger factor.

    I know they make you have bar end caps so if you crash you don't put a hole in someone the size of a nickel ............ one of mine fell out, and they made me find something to put in there before they would let me race one time .......

    Find a local official and ask them.

    depends on the officials and the district.
    I did several events in Texas (1992-1995) and seen some individuals pulled from the start due to it, and I have seen some CAT5 events allow aero bars🙄

    I would say tape em up.
