I did something foolish yesterday, and brought my bike inside out of
-10C weather, then back again. When I went to ride it a bit later, the
left barcon was very stiff, and would not shift.
I disassembled it, and there were two pieces broken off the round end
off the lever itself - possibly by ice.
At any rate, can I replace this lever with one from a down-tube set, or
are bar-con levers unique? These are 7-speed Shimano levers, but as the
left one is friction only, I'm hoping it's fairly universal.
