Basso will be at DC training camp (presumably Slovang again) in early Dec. Interesting to see how Levi will react to Basso. ;) ;)

Presumably, Basso will wind tunnel test under DC team supervision.

DC's skills with technology/aerodynamic testing are another thing the team brings to the table for Basso. With Basso's improvements already made in ITT in 2006, can you imagine how effective he could be under the additional guidance of DC on wind tunnel testing, etc.?

TDanielson was told he could shave 1 minute off a regular ITT by just not moving around so much while in a tucked ITT position. It's small improvements that count.

It's not new! Every team can easily hire time in a wind tunnel. For a while it's so, I think Basso is already ready!

The problem with the Ferrari are the cobblestones, I guess Basso is lucky that he doesn't have to race PR :D

Those "improvements" were made by Fuentes and the additional guidance of DC is their doping program. I am getting sick when relatively poor ITT rider become one of the best in just a few years- in Giro 2006 Basso was the 2nd best with some 30 seconds margin to Jan while in TDF 2003 he lost 6'00 to Jan in the first TTT. However, he usually lost from 2 to 4 minutes to Jan in ITT's but anyway this year's "improvment" was a bit too brutal.
Also, the case with Heras- in his last ITT of Vuelta 2004 he shared the time of the best rider- it looks like a science fiction...
There is some riders that should never match the best in mountains or ITT's and Basso should never do such a good ITT as in Giro 2006. He is a cheater and brutal doper.

No, no, no. Listen to musette.

Don't you realise that DSC are the only team that train? That they are the only team that use technology to assist them? That they are the only team that go and ride the important Tour stages before the Tour?

How can you not believe in the DSC fairytales?

    Potenially true.

EPO aids recovery, so that you can train harder and longer....

Hell I could do with more longer and harder sessions, but if I don't get the recovery I don't get anywhere.

Maybe Basso will puke up a lung on the Sierra Road climb from abusing his dog's plasma go-fast juice?

That would give Bob Roll lots of silly cover stories to gab about.

Basso recently stated he has nothing to prove (re: Brillo blood bags).

I agree, we already know that he is a Discovery-Nike drug cheat and liar.

We all know way too much about his Gynocology visits, blood banking and 2006 Giro freak show.

Hinault continued that he questioned whether Ullrich should be allowed to start in the 2007 Tour de France. "The riders under suspicion should first take a DNA test, then they can be allowed to start. That goes for Ullrich, too." And also for Ivan Basso? "Naturally. He is equally under suspicion."

I recall Sean Kelly telling the tale of Hinault lashing out at photographers who crowded him after crossing the finish line of a Tour time trial. Hinault had beaten Kelly and everyone else by a convincing margin. Recalling the ferocity of Hinault's attack on the photographers Kelly said, 'If a small girl had pointed a gun at me when I crossed the line I wouldn't have had the energy to fight her off.'
