Very windy circuit today from Beeding Hill, north of Shoreham in West
Sussex. Started walking just after 8 after an hours drive from home.
Followed footpaths south to the top of Southwick Tunnel, where the A27
passes through, then skirted north around Cockroost Hill back to the A27.
Joined the Monarch's Way, heading northwest, eventually onto the Sussex
Boarder path which took me up to the South Downs Way east of West Hill. A
gentle walk west passing Devils Dyke and over Truleigh Hill took me back to
the car at Beeding Hill. Fantastic 18 mile circuit, bit hazy but still
pleasant views ...... well, once the early morning clouds and mist had
cleared!
Some photos from along the route at the web address below.
