  1. Hi,
Ive recently bought a Giant Defy 2 and I am wanting to give some races ( time trial, road race, crit) a shot. Does anyone have any tips that will come in handy for begginers? And also I am at boarding school at the moment so dont have the chance to train on my bike, but the school does have gym bikes so is there any good training methods that I will benefit from without using my bike?
    Many thanks.

  2. Keeping a steady pace is probably one of the more important things. Keep a steady pace then kick it up a notch when you feel comfortable with your current steady pace. I would NOT recommend lashing out in high speeds because that will just tire you out when you can't maintain that high pace anymore.
