My wife and I plan a UK walking tour this August. We'd like to do about seven days, not too steep and, by the way, I detest hot weather.
Any siggested regions or outfitters? Is August going to be too hot in all the likely places?
Under the shade of some trees somewhere? Starting at Chepstow in Monmouthshire you could make up a route roughly following the Wye Valley Walk up one side of the river to Symond's Yat head up around the Forest of Dean for a couple of days then back down Offa's Dyke on the other side of the river Wye. That should give you a bit of shade.
