Beginner Question on GIANT XTC N7 2005

Hi everyone,

I am considering purchasing a GIANT XTC N7 (2005) which took my fancy with its Shimano rollerbrakes w/cooling disc and Shimano Nexus 7 rear Hub.

I have never owned a bike with rollerbrakes and internal, chainless hubs. I am told that it makes the life of an everyday commuter very easy as these systems are quite robust and easy on maintenance.

I was wondering if it's really worth ditching my old bike for this one? Has anyone used this Giant before?

dont know anything about the the giant?

is this a new bike? cause why a nexus 7 and not a nexus 8?
I have an avanti blade 8 with the nexus 8 and its great! it really feels good to abuse your chain and deliberatly not lube it!

gears really are fantastic, what ever gear you select you get it, either stopped or riding. Cant even feel them change mostly.
