Follow the hordes on a well maintained path through the forest and beyond
besides a burn. Then up the southern ridge where I seem to remember it
becomes a rather muddy boggy eroded hell for a while. Enjoy the unique
moss-tastic summit. Most people seem to turn back here which makes for a
rather short day; I continued on to Tom a Chonnich, and didn't see another
soul. Drop off the south west and trudge back along rough pathless but
dry terrain to the forest where a boggy firebreak will get you to the
tracks leading to the car park. You're not really missing anything if you
don't do the traverse though (although it avoids having to go back
through the mud); the best of the walk is approaching the summit along
the mossy ridge IMHO.Tim

An amendement to the above:
There is a new car park constructed just south of the start of this
walk and a new footpath leads to a wicket gate and the route described
above.Once beyond the forest a newly constructed path now avoids the boggy
sections and takes you up onto the south-west ridge of Ben Wyvis.Lindsay
