I have a 2002 Lemond Zurich. The right seat stay is slightly dinged and bent. If you place a straightedge along the outside of the stay you can see a 1/8" deflection inward. the deflection vertex is about halfway between the brake bridge and the dropout. Is this a cause for concern? Nothing else seems out of line as far as the naked eye can tell. Thank you

Thank youThere are framebuilders and experienced users on this forum who will be able to give you more definitive answers, but if the dent isn't causing alignment issues and the seatstay isn't actually cracked, it should be fine. Steel is not "fussy" as far as dents and bending goes - it takes more than minor damage (such as the damage you are describing) to compromise the integrity or safety of a steel frame. With an aluminium frame it would possibly have been a very different story.
