bent toes and fingers: abnormal?

all of my fingers are curved in various different fashions,
and my toes are severely bent. so much so that I have never
ever found a pair of well fitting shoes. shoes are typically
made with the assumption that the big toe points out
straight (parallel) from the inside edge of the foot. and
the other side of the foot curves gradually to meet the tip
of the big toe.

but on my feet, all the toes, especially the big toe, are
rotated about 30degrees (clockwise on my right foot, counter
on my left). in other words, the big toe doesn't point out
straight, but rather points sharply to the right. all the
other toes to the same thing, so my smallest toe points to
the right too and of course gets thoroughly mashed and
crushed by any shoes I've ever worn.

is there an explanation for this? is there any way to
correct it? is it very abnormal?

That's not good. I advise seeing an orthopedist.
