I'd like to have opinions on what is the narrowest 406 tire suitable for a swb recumbent bike for tours with 90% on road and the rest on fire roads and canal paths with gravel and roots to cross?
I will be using Velocity aeroheat rims front and rear on a Challenge Hurricane.
Second, what have you found to be the best tire for this type of touring without sacrificing reliability/
Do slicks work as well as knobbies for this type of touring.......?? Thanks for the information.....I have been considering tires between 1.3 and 1.75 wide
notably Marathons, comp pools, and even wider, Maxxis Hookworms.......
