I am going to buy a bike, but havent decided what kind of wheels I want.
Because of Triathlon use, and a favor for long flat tracks, I am looking for wheels with a good aerodynamic. OK so there is a lot (Corima, Zipp, Mavic Cosmic Carbon, Leightweight or Bora's).
But I want to avoid wheels where I have to brake just on carbon and important for me is also an acceptable stiffness and durable.

I am not sure which one I am going to buy now. Cosmic Carbon, Ksyrium, Citec 3000 or something else ?

What can you recomment ? (no full carbon tires please)

HED makes 50mm deep carbon wheels with an alloy braking surface...HED Alps. I have them and use them for road races and time trials, and like them very much.

but you should save these or any other expensive carbon wheels for race day. you'll want some kind of durable training wheels to ride everyday.

Have Alps rear and Cosmic Carbone front. Both fast, stiff, no problems in wind.
Since the Cosmic is an "ordinary" Mavic alu wheel (with plastic spoiler) it's 100% true and never needs truing - the famous Mavic quality. The Alps is a carbon wheel with alu rim - and as all carbon wheels it isn't 100% true, 1mm untrue in both directions.
(Cosmic is also used by the pro's in road races, very good and stable wheel)
Want a 100% problem free wheel, also for heavy riders: Cosmic Carbone
Want a good & light wheel: Alps
