Can't believe we had only one rec. for Crystal Method in 7 pages. They have a bunch of great cadence stuff, but my favorite is a mix with Crystal Method and Filter (or it might be with Garbage) called "Trip Like I do". Have to also 2nd the rec. on Darude's "Sandstorm". Rob Zombie's "Feel so Numb", "Dracula", and "More Human than Human" are steady's in my IPod as well. And just for a nice change of genre without a loss of pace, "Orange Blossom Special" (although I think my favorite version is actually by Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatts).

RA - EBONY DUBSTERS (aka SHY FX & T POWER)
taken from 'FAST LANE' drum'n'bass CD mixed by SHY FX

The reason I chose this one is because I use it for really nasty 1 mile intervals.
It runs at 180bpm, and consequently runs just right for 90rpm cadence.
It's such a menacing track(not to mention what follows!) and has got me through some real heavy intervals. Good for TT warm ups too!

hard rock seems to be the theme for hard climbs.

I agree: Cells by the Servant helps me pound the pedals.

I just had to contribute and say that the best cycling songs would be any of the Italian classical music played in the movie Breaking Away!

I don't listen to music when I ride (except for the music in my head), but for those of you who like metal when you ride, try out anything by Brainstorm or just about anything off of "Modus Vivendi" by Tad Morose. When I ran, those would always be the tunes that would get me up above my target heartrate range. Iced Earth is good for that too.

"SAILING" Christopher Cross. This song helps the visual imagery in my mind to guide my body pass the discomfort. Corny but hey....

Turn Me Loose - Loverboy (from 1980)

Good rock beat, last 3 words in the chorus "I wanna fly"

I don't listen to music while I ride but I must say, music inspires me to ride and to daydream about riding.

To keep the legs going round and round up hills:

Gerry Raferty: The Ark - The Royal Mile

    Van Morrison: Into the Mystic

    Music to cruise:

    Anything classical: Mozart,
Rocmaninoff. Maybe some Paganini to pickup the pace.

Ride hard, catch the break away:

James Brown: Several songs but I really like - Sex Machine.

    Billy Idol: White Wedding

Charlie Daniels: Drinking my baby good-bye.

Van Halen: Danc'n in the street - You really got me - Jump

    Creed: Higher

Santana: Black Magic Woman (New version Live Mexico City)
Has anyone heard the Peter Green version (Fleetwood Mac)?

And for the last 2km and sprint:

Nothing better than, Van Halen: Hot for Teacher.

Oh yeah, and in case I'm dropped....

    Don Ho : Tiny Bubbles

I'm with Blimp on this one. And he's right about Sid.....

    I've got a mouse
but he hasn't got a house,
I don't know why I call him Gerald.
    He's getting rather old
    but he's a good mouse.

    Genius. :D

and introduced in 'video' form by the legendary Gerry Todd of SCTV with one of the best song 'talk-ups' of all time. Ably assisted by Michael McDonald of the Doobies. Also parodied as 'Break Like the Wind' at one time

any other Gerry Todd fans out there?

amen, LOTS of U2 will get you thru...

the whole 'How to dismantle...' CD is money--top out yer pulse rate during City of Blinding Lights and get it back up there for Yahweh at the end.

replay 'where the streets have no name', then warm down and spin with 'One' and 'Walk On'

If I could only pick one artist in my mp3 player, the answer is U2 always.
Many classic rockers would get sloppy seconds, but it's U2.
    first-last-inbetween
