In our local divisional championships one of my team mates dropped out because, using their words, "I had water in my eyes".

Both of those are legitimate excuses. How about this year's frequent excuse of stomach troubles. My goodness, what are these cyclists eating to have such stomach issues, pork rinds?

If my memory serves, it was bad rice pudding that took the T-Mobile team out of this year's Tour.

I actually was not talking about the Tour, that excuse seemed legitimate as it affected a good portion of their team. However, since then it seems as if numerous riders have jumped on that excuse.

I didn't say it wasn't legitimate, and being a Friday, my memory wasn't serving, it was the Vuelta :). It's just that you would think that a team with that much on the line would know better than to trust room service.

And how about Judith Ardnt crossing the line in second at the Olympics and flipping off the German Cycling Federation for not including Petra Rossner?

Merckx was a bit too quick today!! The line judge hates me, and I don't like him.
