I want to get a hybrid since my Diamondback outlook is a bit on the heavy side. A hybrid sounds good for going to school and around town. I have narrowed it down to the Trek 7100 and the the Specialized Expedition Sports.

I need it for a 5k ride to school everyday and i need it to be as lihgt as possible for wheelies and energy saving.

Thanks for your help in Advance.

Trek 7100 is a good solid bike, but it ain't particularly light, especially the model with front suspension! I use one to commute 25km a day and it's fine, nice and comfy and reliable. Forget the wheelies though! If you want to knock it around a bit then get a mountain bike.
