It was 47F this morning so I rode indoors and watched "American Flyers" the music was just right and always brought my cadence above 98. I'm sure this will get old at some point are there any good riding tunes out there?

Whats wrong with the wonderful sounds of gears changing and wind in your ears? :)

I have a big fan blowing at me when I ride indoors but that doesn't make me pick up the pace much. I ride a magnetic recumbent indoor trainer thats very silent I do like the sound of my chain when riding outdoors though maybe I should record it some time.:)

#1 = Some trance music - I have som 1 hour remix somewhere
#2 = Morcheeba
#3 = Cafe Del Mar
#4 = Ramones! ... when riding the 10 speed!
#5 = Rolling Stones
#6 = Manu Chau

That would be the selection for the week.

NIN remixes are great for riding. Trance is also good - the driving [mindless] beats are great for hurting yourself. Add some porno with the sound turned off and if you can't get some testosterone fueled motivation going you need a rest.

Rap/Reggae beats tend to work better for climbing or low cadence strength work.

I pick music that matches my 80-100 rpm cadence so...

I listen to stuff like

Beastie boys, Fatboy Slim, and Jungle/Drum and Base

DJ Shadow is pretty dank if you like that kind of stuff. Otherwise, I'd suggest some Stravinsky or other good classical music to remind your self of how civilized you are at the moment. If you want to set a rocking beat I'd suggest some Steavie Ray Vaughn. Cheers.

Trance. Nothing beats it without a doubt. Go to Digitally Imported and play the radio stream through winamp on your PC. Excellent stuff. Also try www.cbs.nu

Green Day has a good mix of fast and slow paced songs so they're a personal favorite. I also enjoy the Black Eyed Peas and Great Big Sea (got quite the Canadian theme going there.)

Nothing is better for me, than Avenged Sevenfold, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance.

Whatever the techo/trance songs are in the 2003 TdF dvd..

Anyone the song titles??

Paul Oakenfold is good for the trainer. Especially his live European concerts.

If it's 47 degrees outside, my butt is riding outside (assuming dry pavement). But for good music on the trainer, trance always seems to get me working hard.

I'd have to say Trance for me. It's extremely helpful with keeping a good, constant cadence.
