Hey everyone, so i'm still pretty new to cycling and i plan on dropping a lot of cash on my bike in the near future. I was curious to know what websites you all use to order bike parts/accessories. All of my local bike shops jack up their prices way too high. Recently i purchased some new tires from http://www.realcyclist.com. I liked the website, they had fast shipping and delivery, a good selection, but still a bit pricey. So what website's do you guys use? thank you for your responses!

You local bike shops have to increase their prices compared to online stores because they can't survive charging what online companies do. http://www.excelsports.com http://www.totalcycling.com http://www.classiccyling.com http://www.speedgoat.com http://www.biketiresdirect.com If you want budget bargain basement pricing, there this: http://www.pricepoint.com

nashbar and performance

we keep you cycling

I have only purchased on-line from Nashbar and Performance. With Performance... I was able to have the items shipped to the local store. That saved on shipping [costs] and would have made any return quick and easy as well. I also like Amazon and have purchased bicycle related items (most recently a mirror) through Amazon (they have super-saver shipping).

There is a fine line between saving money... and spending a dollar to save a dime. Taking the time... and spending a dime or two... to build a relationship with a LBS is a worthwhile investment... not an expense. IMHO.

I'll add www.bikeisland.com, Jensonusa.com and www.icyclesusa.com to the list. I have had good experience with all of them.

+1 for pricepoint.

I'll also plug ebay seller wheelandsprocket.

I have never used price point how are their shipping charges and delivery times? They do have some really good prices I just have never used them.

I am big for online purchases. My wife and I use Mrebates and amazon supershipper as much as possible Nashbar has plenty of offerings on amazon that we can roll over through mrebates to get both free shipping and rebate dollars.

davereo, The charges are very reasonable and the delivery is prompt. They are one of my favorites now - they are about the cheapest.

Sometimes you can also get a screaming deal at nashbar through thier returned items - you can stack the returned item discount with whatever general discount they are offering at the time.
