Hey All....been riding for about 10 months and love it....lost heaps of weight but still on the heavy side of the scale (100kg)....purchased a CAAD9 with Ksyrium ES and Dura Ace and really happy with them but got an itch to upgrade the wheels to another set but concerned about going to even lighter wheels with my heavy weight......any suggestions? Thanks heaps

The only way a lighter wheelset will have a big impact on your riding is if they fail. No such thing as a free lunch. Light wheels, even expensive ones, are less reliable for larger riders(even for light riders!!).

Save your $1500, which would save only about 200-300 grams anyway. 1/2 of a pound. In your rider/bike package, it's way less than 1%, but your chances of being stranded is large.

You are doing the right thing, riding lots, losing weight, getting fit but look at the engine to make your cycling performance get better, not the bike.

$1500 could be a cycling vacation, a riding coach, a massage therapist.
