Okay, I just needed some input regarding these two. I'm still in the "saving up" mode, but have made a decision a while back on getting the Bianchi Infinito when the proper time comes. Hopefully, sometime this year. The original plan was to buy an Infinito 105 because it's much less than the Ultegra. Lately though, I've been thinking that maybe I should just get the Sempre. Then I think about comfort, my slight neck and shoulder problem, and I really should just stick with something with a higher headtube. Plus all 3 LBS I've been talking to said to get the Infinito over the Sempre. However, over the weekend, I had a chance to visit this other LBS that relocated to a bigger and better location. Out of curiosity, when I got home, I started doing some research on one of the brands they carry, which is Jamis, since I was checking out the Endura 1 in the store. I found out that the Endura 3 is the same price as the Infinito Ultegra with OS BB30 and Asymmetrical Chainstays, which the Infinito don't have. I started thinking that since I really wanted the Ultegra, what is a few more months of saving and really get what I want? However, because of the BB30 and Asymmetrical Chainstays that Jamis is offering, if the ride quality is the same as the Infinito, will it be a better buy? Or are all these hooplas really aren't that important for someone who is barely getting back into biking after 20 years? Especially if it's only going to be used for fitness and recreational. Which one would you choose and why? What are the pros and cons for both companies and their bikes? If this isn't the right place for this, my apologies.
