Does anyone have any experience flying Air Alps from the Salzburg airport. They are requiring that
bicycles be boxed or bagged. Is this a normal requirement for airlines. Also, where can I find a
box/bag in Salzburg??

For some time I've been collecting information on user experiences taking bikes on planes, trains,
buses, boats, etc. There's lots of stuff on rentals, folding bikes, boxing, airlines, and railroads

But there's nothing about Air Alps. The idea of a "normal requirement for airlines" is kind of an
oxymoron. There are no standards and different ticket agents of even the same airline make up
different requirements.Your best bet would be a bike shop. Ask for a discarded box. Another option might be to buy a box or
