With the chilly winter months upon us I find as usual that I'm spending more time on the trainer, as opposed to the road. Typically I manage my workouts on the trainer using a stopwatch (for total time and time between intervals etc) and a HRM. While this method is fine I'm thinking about adding cadence and speed (as in average speed for those spinning type workouts), though obviously there is some interchange with cadence there.

My question is, is anyone aware of a computer (either wired or wireless) that can handle running the speed sensor from the back wheel, obviosuly if wireless then transmission distance is the issue, if wired it needs a wiring harness long enough to get to the back wheel?

The Cateye Astrale 8 come as a long harness kit, just for the back wheel. I fited one to the GFs Felt a fortnight back. :D
