Hello all,
I am shopping for a bike for a 5-year-old daughter.
Preferably something that will last her 2-3 years and something light.
All kids bikes I have seen so far are very heavy.
Any recommendations?

steel.

Yes there is. I just got my 5 year old a Redline Proline bmx bike.
Weighs about 15 pounds. It was about $300 bucks but for what you get I
think that's a deal. It comes with kind of a funky racing saddle but I
just swapped out the post and seat for a normal kids seat (odessey
junior) and he's set.
