I've recently decided to challenge myself to build a mountain bike. To be clear I am extremely new to this and I have been overwhelmed by the language and technicalities that are involved in building a bike. Because this will be my first build, I'm going to choose an affordable hard tail frame.
I understand that the frame is the most important aspect of the bike, but I'm also not ready to go all in on my first bike. That being said, does anyone have advice on other components of the bike that may be worth spending a little more on? Also, any general tips on building a bike would be greatly appreciated.
