Looking for some input on indoor bike trainers to use with my mountain bike.

Currently looking at the Minoura Hyper Rim rim drive trainer. I'm thinking I would like to stay away from the roller type so as not to wear down my tire and to keep the noise level down.

How is this brand and make trainer and is there any others out there that are comparable?

I use the Tacx i-Magic with my Mongoose hardtail. I've put on slicks on the back wheel - and everything works fine. Tacx even has a terrain that makes you think you are out riding in a park.

You can get new runs and routes at http://www.ersmark.com/imagic and join the i-magicleague. That'll keep you riding as long as there is snow outside.
