Bikes banned on Belfast Liverpool ferry

Apparently Norse Ferries are refusing to carry bikes. A friend who has used
them for years has been told they no longer carry bikes.

I wonder if they are in receipt of public subsidies and whether this is
reasonable and in accordance with transport policies if they are.

Not quite the same I know, but the Larne-Fleetwood ferry wont take foot
passengers. What's the betting they refuse to accept that a cycle is a
vehicle?
