  1. any here bought a bike off bikes directdotcom site. i saw the bikes there are way cheaper than bike i see in vancouver where i live.

like a road bike be avg starting 1k in vancouver

but the website has no name brand bike for half price

how are those bikes if u bought one

  2. For the most part, Bikes Direct have decent quality bicycles at reasonable prices. I don't have a BD bike but I ride with a couple of guys who have purchased BD bikes and are well satisfied with them. Just make sure that you order the right size for you.

  3. And if you're new at this, be sure to factor in the cost of professional assembly by a local shop, usually $60-80. The aspersions they might cast will be free, of course.

Seriously, where I work we provide guilt-free assembly of BikesDirect bikes, on the condition, of course, that the customer hasn't already botched the job.
