Black ice is humidity which is frozen directly on the road surface, white ice is frozen on snow
surface. Poin is that visually black ice is nearly impossible to detect! If the temperature is zero
or near of it be careful and it can in higher ground be only wet asphalt and in lower areas black
ice. Good studded tyres saves the situation. Nokian is best

If the road looks wet, but your tyres don't "fizz" when cycling - time to slow down or walk !!
