Hey guys,

Sorry to have to 'fess up to this. The rain is my fault. I
encouraged Steven to buy a MTB on Saturday, so we could ride
with Charlie on Sunday. My bad.

Might have known ... I haven't been on the road for 15 days now, in between work
& rain. Got so bad I used the mag trainer yesterday - so boring though!

Does this mean I have to buy an MTB too now, Tam?

You made it rain? Go tell Mr Beattie - he'll be buying us all bikes!
(wishful thinking)

I'm the only fool

thanks muchly tam for getting steven to buy a MTB :)
my vege garden has gone PSYCHO! please, convince more people to buy more MTB's... my garden will thank you for it and you may end up with a few tomatoes and a watermelon for your troubles :) (my commisions are paid in organic produce hehehe)

perhaps we should get people living around the dams to buy MTB's too? after all, its in the yonder western areas that we need rain most, and they have some pretty nice bush/trails out there so they could definitely use an MTB...

if buying an MTB will bring us more rain, i will be perfectly happy to sacrifice my savings/credit cards and plans to get an iMac to buy a yeti 575 *drool*... or perhaps im looking for excuses now...

YAY for RAIN!

You mean you didn't have one already? You'll find that jumps are so
much easier on a mtb.

If you are only going to buy one mountain bike the Yeti 575 is a very
very good choice! Did I mention it comes in pink?

Nah - it goes the other way here in WA. I ride my MTBs when it's rainy and
muddy but just bought my first road bike - and it persists down after months
of glorious weather. My bad in WA

so instead of paying you not to take your holidays in brisbane, maybe our re-elected premier can pay you to take a cycling holiday here?

*if it works for douglas adams... well...*

No, just a road bike & a hybrid. I'm not very confident cycling off tarmac & am
somewhat nervous about the whole thing, especially due to my advancing years.
Tam, Lottebum & Em are somewhat younger than I & bounce where I may break ...
but they are very enthusiastic about it so I may yet yield to peer pressure :)
