Boston Brown Bread

    Boston Brown Bread

    1 cup butter
    1/3 cup honey
    2/3 cup molasses 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup rye flour 1 cup yellow cornmeal 2 tsp. baking soda 1
    tsp. salt 2 cup buttermilk 2 cup coarsely chopped golden delicious apples

    Cream butter, honey and molasses. Combine flours, cornmeal, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture
    alternately with buttermilk. Stir in apples. Spoon into 2 greased 8 x 4 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at
    350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing. Serve warm. Makes 2 rolls.
