My sister just bought a trek 4300, and i rode it and noticed the shocks bottoms out pretty easily. I adjusted the shocks as much as i could, and it still bottoms out. Is this just the quality of the shock, and if so, can they be upgraded??

what shocks came on it? Air? Coil? I'm sure you weigh more than her too - does it bottom out when she rides it?

I believe this bike comes with a nsync fork (garbage) ........If i where you I would deffenintly upgrade if you want something cheap with good performance I recommend of the lower end marzocchi forks like an mz or an exr very reasonably priced and you just cant go wrong with a marzocchi.

Take the bike back to the shop. If she "just" bought it, the adjustments to the shock may be done free and correctly.
