Yeah yeah start the tri bagging now (hopefully Tam is out there
somewhere to offer some moral support). But when I'm doing 40 km along
Beach Rd in January's Olympic distance Tri with no bunch to hide behind
and a head wind in at least one direction (and last year in one race a
change came through so it was head wind both directions, gasp) I'll take
every advantage I can get. Besides they also seem to get me into a much
more relaxed position, even though I'm probably leaning over further my
back never gets sore with them.

I'll throw in my support - I like tri's and started road racing as an off-season training activity. The season has started and riding with no draft is much more difficult (duh!).

Canberra half-IM just two weeks away...

Ritch

I just realised that what with getting to Doncaster and then going to Richmond afterwards, I've set myself up to ride my first century. That's about twice as far as I've ever ridden in one go before. Should be interesting...

The wind was pretty vicious out this way this morning. I did spare a
thought for the fact that you were probably out in it. Thankfully it eased
off in the afternoon so it was not too rough for track racing. Now I'm just
hoping that any rain that is going to happen will happen before tomorrow
mornings racing.

there's a couple of places you can bail if youre feeling inclined (no pun intended!) along the way :)

Damn it...the thing I went out to last night went a LOT later than I thought it was going to. I decided I didn't really want to do the ride on about 3 hours sleep. I'm a wuss. I didn't really intend to bail THAT early. Didn't intend to bail at all, actually, but hey... Won't happen next week either. It will happen though.
