Brake Tension arrrrrgghhhhh!!

  1. hi there all

    i have a problem with my front brake tension. Its a road bike the brakes are shim.. 105's. I think i'm going mental. the problem is that i cant get any tension on the lever unless the caliper is so tight close to the rim that is sticks. wat do i do sandpaper some of the blocks away, kick my bike in to the river hmmm tempting. please can anyone help

  2. what model are the brakes and levers?
    Are they dual pivot calipers?

    Dumb question, but is the release lever up? It's supposed to be down.
