Broken collarbone - any women out there

Went over the bars on my roadie a week ago and fractured my right collarbone. Not
my first injury by far, ACL from bmx crash and fractured radius from mtb a few years back. This is my first roadie crash in 22 years and the black stuff is definitely painful to fall on !

Researched surg vs conservative approach, going conservative at the moment with ortho specialist advice.

Question is, what are other women's experience with this? I have a very noticeable lump on my shoulder, it's a distal third displaced fracture. My husband reckons the lump will be a nice trophy - hmmm ok for a guy to say that!

Keen for feedback from others who have had a similar experience.

how did it heal after all these months ? i had a pretty strong crash two days ago but i think nothing is broken except for a rib, ..maybe... you record is quite good, 1 crash in 2 decades, not bad !

rib still hurts but less so im guessing not broken, together with strong arm and shoulder pain for a week and a miserable knee zone pain but for the first day only, i was going pretty fast and there was this dog, on the other side of the fence, i kept going and he crossed from under the fence to ***** me as they usually do but he timed poorly his move and came into the road straight in front of me ! he grouwled when i was on the floor so i thought he was also going to bite me for a second, all in all i was lucky, bike had minor damage so, thanks for asking
