I'm coming off a bout with bronchittis and have a metric century this Saturday. It's been a week since I've rode, and I only have few days to get ready for the ride. I had been averaging 150 miles a week, so I'm decently conditioned prior to getting sick. Is there any sure fire way to catch back up in a week?

You won't have lost a lot of fitness by resting up for a week.
There's no way to 'catch up' over the next few days. Some easy spinning on a turbo would sound like a good starting point. If any chest problems remain though, I'd forget Staurday.

Thanks for the advice, Saturday I had recovered enough to go and completed the full 103 km under 4 hours. Not a racing speed but still pretty good considering I had to change a flat, and hadnt rode but 15 miles the whole week before.
