Brussels Sprouts with Chestnuts

1 pound Brussels sprouts
4 Tablespoons butter
2 cups braised chestnuts
Salt and pepper

Trim and wash Brussels sprouts, and steam or blanch until tender. Melt
butter in a large saucepan, add sprouts and chestnuts, and heat through.
Season with salt and pepper.
To prepare Chestnuts take 2 cups peeled chestnuts, 1 cup chicken broth, 2
Tablespoons butter, and bring all ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat,
cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until chestnuts are tender but not
mushy .

Now they are ready to be combined with the Brussels sprouts.

Serves 6.
