    big plans...
I plan to explore NZ by riding the bike.
Will start my journey in Auckland at the end of February and have time to experience the best places of NZ till mid- May. So, there is no hurry and plenty of time to stay at several places for a few days.
I'm looking forward to an active time full of events.
Anybody who is intersted in any way? Cheers Melanie (20; Austria)

Melanie can you post your photo and then Ill decide

Just kidding Im engaged to a cool girl (I dont think she would let me go) but it sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you find someone cool to go with. I suggest you go for a few rides with them first to figure out if you are compatible with them (be it male or female).

    Good luck

I'm beginning my South Island tour from taranaki where I live in the North Island, around about March 1st for one month. I plan to hopefully average 130-50 kilometres a day as I want to get right round and back in 28 days, which may or may not suit you.
If not I may see you on the way. I'll be the guy on a Green Mongoose Hybrid with Panniers only on the front. ;)

Cycle across New Zealand? It's 160km from one side to the other!
Seriously, enjoy yourself. It's a great place, apart from the Kiwi's (I should know, I am one). Stick to the secondary roads - Highway 1 is for A - B. There are plenty of towns to stay at. Just remember :
"Don't stuck thu puss un thu frudge, put ut un thu chullie bun."
    and :
"Thu Fush 'n' Chup Shup shuts ut sux, Jum"...
    abd you can't go wrong.
