Hi All
Hoping i can perhaps get some insight from our guru's,
i overslept this Sunday and when i did get up had no urge whatsoever to get on the bike. (this never happens to me, im the one waiting for everyone else)

i had a pretty hard mtb ride on Saturday, but that would not be the first time.

Having gone back into my training diary i noticed i have since December 2003 not taken more than 3 consecutive days of when i had a bit of flu.

What i was wondering is how much time could i take off without losing to much form, and would i be defeating the object by swimming or doing some other activities in the meantime until i could find the motivatioN to get back in the saddle.

At present i will ride between 5 & 6 days a week, with 2 to 3 hard rides.

Also any insight into what kind of programme one should follow for an all year training regime, since i rode right through winter with no break. Or maybe i should rather say how much riding would one have to do to retain your current form,

Look forward to hearing from you.

D
