I was just looking at Amazon. Com and I saw some of these nice single speed road bikes for a good price. Is it a good idea to buy one of these, and should I expect it to last a long time?

It's a good idea if you really want one, and if the bike is of reasonable quality. They do look sleek and minimalist and you're sure to impress any hipsters in the vicinity but unless you live where it's entirely flat, or spend most of your time in a velodrome I'd possibly reconsider. As far as lasting a long time, the bike is sure to outlive anyone's interest in a single speed./img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif
