we have a house in n italy. my boys are ready to start biking and I would like to buy several used bikes for them. my eldest is 15 (5'11"); my 14 year old is 5'9"; I have an 11 year old who needs to practice w balance and manuevering -- not ready for road bike. he is stocky and about 5'4"
I have a "berma" multii-alloy, 59 cm with shimano components.
I bought an aluminum bike, 53 c.m. (local bike shop de la rossa), shimano components.
I would like to pass the berma to my eldest son and buy a nice italian bike, e.g. pinarello with campanoglo components. I am 6'1". I would like to buy a used bike and spend around 400 euros.
i would also like to buy a good all around bike for my 11 year old that he can practice on. he weighs 100 lbs. I was thinking about spending around 200 euros.
There is an italian web site called subito -- like a craigs list. could anyone suggest some models or years or makes. with all the offshore bike building it is a bit intimidating.
